Joe Hisaishi - 「風の通り道」/ “Kaze no Toori Michi” All That Jazz (Cover)

My Neighbor Totoro is the first movie I can remember watching so this theme song (originally composed by Joe Hisaishi, who scored a good number of your favorite Ghibli movies as well as the Ni no Kuni video games) will always have a special place in my heart. When I heard this jazzed up remix though, it just brought a whole new dimension of enjoyment I get from this song. It gives me all the nostalgia I crave with a fun, funky twist.

All That Jazz has an incredible playlist of all sorts of covers Studio Ghibli has commissioned from them that you can find on YouTube here (don’t ever say I never gave y’all nothing). As for “Kaze no Toori Michi”, I absolutely love the piano solo around 1:40 into the track! It makes me feel like I’m right there watching the band jam out and just have a good freaking time playing this song. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do (and as much as it sounds like the band themselves are enjoying it)!
