Zedd & Jasmine Thompson - “Funny”

Okay, I realize that if you’re into this genre already then you need no introduction to Zedd, but I found out about this song at 4am and just could not help but get up and start dancing. I figure any song that does that for me should get at least a quick post here.

While you probably know Zedd, Jasmine Thompson is a bit less familiar in this genre. I still remember listening to Pandora back in the day and hearing her cover of “Titanium” come through the speakers. Definitely became a fan.

A lot of her music that I listened to back then from her covers to her originals were that ballad pace (as you’ll hear in the intro of the video before Zedd gets a hold of it) so it’s really cool to see her years later on a quintessential Zedd track—mellow first verse followed by a clean percussion build up into the chorus and big beat drop. I know the formula well, but it gets me every time! I freakin love the result of this combination of Jasmine’s thoughtful lyrics and beautiful vocals on top of Zedd’s catchy production.

Enjoy the track! Hope it gets you dancing too. Also, the video has a shit ton of cute puppies! So enjoy that too!
