AquaMarine - “Lost Thoughts”

~Zumi Underground

Brand new hit from AquaMarine got me bobbin’ my head so hard I gave myself whiplash! The way AquaMarine paces this song is incredible. When it hits, it HITS and when it’s chill, it’s so smooth and groovy and all the transitions between the two are incredibly seamless.

I absolutely love the intro. Last time I talked about an AquaMarine track, I had to shout out his skills with vocal samples and he does it once again here in “Lost Thoughts” where just a couple lines of vocal sample is used all throughout the track without ever feeling overwhelming. And that jazzy guitar perfectly wraps up the intro before we get a FAT drop.

A jazzy piano replaces the guitar later in the song and adds a lot of comfort to the track, giving you a second to catch your breath (or adjust your neck from the whiplash you gave yourself from the first drop). This is such a beautifully arranged track and I can’t get over how well the mood shifts back and forth.
