Ci Majr - “Guillotine”

The latest single from Ci Majr is another freaking BOP, y’all! As I said last time we did a post of a Ci Majr song, they are a master of happy sad songs.
Cutting deep with the opening lines “Do you have any last words / To let me down?”, we get an immediate glimpse into Ci Majr’s struggle with someone. But the beat makes me so damn happy! The chorus, however, does give me some cohesive emotional intersection with take or leave it lyrics and an uplifting melody that suggests they will be okay either way. And I love the use of falsetto and vocal harmonies in the last couple runs through the chorus. I definitely catch myself rewinding to those runs when this track comes on!
