Pillow Weight - “Tensong (Easy As)”

~Zumi Underground

More like Lead Pillow Weight with how heavy this song is, eh? Eh? Anyone? Okay, sorry. That’s my one dad joke for this post (the excerpt from the homepage doesn’t count—that’s separate).

Seriously though, you can find the lyrics in the description of the YT video and each line feels like the force of gravity—”Lover, you have kept / Me chained and weathered / Washin’ down your back / From my veins / Pressure to my head”.

Pillow Weight does a phenomenal job creating an ambience in this song. That four note guitar melody in the chorus might have a bit of reverb distortion to help give it such a hollow feeling. Paired with a very conservative drum pattern and the paranormal activity warbling sound in the bridge and I’m left feeling pretty alone and insecure.

While that’s not my favorite feeling in the world, sometimes you just need a bit of validation for it through music and Pillow Weight definitely gave us that.
