Dark Cat - “No Stopping Us” ft. Jenny (Similar Outskirts Remix)
For a song with just 4 lines of lyrics that repeat, it doesn’t feel repetitive at all thanks to Similar Outskirts’ arrangement. This song goes from mellow acoustic guitar chords to heavy, glitchy dubstep and back to mellow piano chords. It’s a rollercoaster ride I can’t get enough of and I hope you all enjoy it too!

Kenichiro Nishihara - “Beautiful Things” Remix ft. Amanda Diva
I think of “Beautiful Things” as a modern version of “Favorite Things” by Rodgers & Hammerstein. We’re trading out some of the drama and dynamics in “Favorite Things” for a consistent, energetic bounce throughout “Beautiful Things” though both lyrical concepts are about appreciating life’s beauties to get through tough times which we’re probably all feeling at least to some degree in this unbelievable year.

Joe Hisaishi - 「風の通り道」/ “Kaze no Toori Michi” All That Jazz (Cover)
Joe Hisaishi has given us some amazing scores over the last four decades. My Neighbor Totoro’s theme song, “Kaze no Toori Michi” holds a special place in my heart and All That Jazz’s jazz cover does not disappoint!

Jacob Banks - “Mercy”
Jacob Banks hits us with that real talk in in this gospel-style track exhibiting pain and frustration of America’s black folks.

Bop Alloy - “Step Into Cipher” ft. Cise Starr
“Step Into the Cipher” is definitely my favorite track under the Bop Alloy name. If you’ve ever seen Afro Samurai and have appreciated how it perfectly blends anime/feudal Japan tropes and hip hop, “Step Into the Cipher” is a lot like that for me.

Midnight Bebop - “When You Are Missing…”
Destress this hump day with some dope lo-fi vibes by Midnight Bebop.

Benji Reyes & Ci Majr - “Wiggle Room”
This collaboration from Benji Reyes and Ci Majr is the perfect summer jam! Get this one on your party playlist and dance!

ゲスの極み乙女。- 「人生の針」 / Gesu no Kiwami Otome - “Record of Life”
I hope you all enjoyed the first round of Gesu from a few weeks ago because I’ve got another one for you already. This one is really cool because Gesu had released the album this song is from earlier this year but just released English versions of a few tracks of the album with vocalist Sincere Tanya taking Enon Kawatani’s place.

Logic - “Soul Food II”
With Logic’s supposed “retirement” (you know how these rapper do…he’ll be back eventually) as of this past Friday with the album “No Pressure”, I gotta talk about my man here real quick because there’s a lot to unpack.

Zedd & Jasmine Thompson - “Funny”
Okay, I realize that if you’re into this genre already then you need no introduction to Zedd, but I found out about this song at 4am and just could not help but get up and start dancing. I figure any song that does that for me should get at least a quick post here.

Billy Drease Williams - “Shut the Gate” ft. Richie English
Billy Drease Williams drops a solid flow over a beautiful melody provided by Richie English in one of the most confusing, mixed signal pep talks for mending a broken heart I’ve ever heard.

Televisor - “Odyssey” ft. Danyka Nadeau
Got another funky feel-good for you today with Televisor’s “Odyssey”. Sometimes it’s nice to just chill out and appreciate simple yet fun grooves like this one.

ゲスの極み乙女。 - 私以外私じゃないの / Gesu no Kiwami Otome - “No One's Me Except for Me”
So if you had to put it in just one bucket, I would say it’s more rock/j-rock, but man…their bassist is SUPER funky so I’m adding the funk tag to this one but please check this one out. For better or worse (obviously better in my opinion), this song’s got it all and you probably haven’t heard anything quite like this.

Tuxedo - “Shy” ft. Zapp
Today’s post comes from Tuxedo and Zapp and this one really takes you back. Hit play, turn your speakers up, and get ready to dance (or at least do a little bounce in your chair).

Vauner - “Swinging Solo”
Our first rock song on here. Sorry to keep you rockers waiting, but this one is worth it.

Tom Misch - “It Runs Through Me” Ft. De La Soul
This collaboration between Tom Misch and “Posdnuos” (literally “Sound Sop” spelled backwards) of De La Soul is a wonderfully bouncy Ode to Music.

Melanie Faye - “It’s a Moot Point”
I’m a brand new fan to Melanie Faye (and hope to make one out of you too), but in looking her up, it seems she is best known to her long-time fans for her phenomenal guitar skills (which are prominently featured in this track). However, she has apparently stunned them on “It’s a Moot Point” with her beautiful, controlled vocal talents as well!

Jax Anderson - “Queen”
Take on Monday feeling like a badass with this dark pop track by Jax Anderson (formerly Flint Eastwood)!

Kojey Radical - "Water (If Only They Knew)" Ft. Mahalia & Swindle
These are the cuts I could see being added to the Soundtrack of the Revolution. These songs help us express and cope with the oppression that’s been happening for far too long.
